Bengaluru GAFX 2017 Conference was one of the India's most prominent and largest annual event for Games, Animation & Visual Effects Industry hosted by Government of Karnataka and organized by ABAI from May 12-14 at The Lalit Ashok. This event has been known as ABAI Fest and KAVGC Summit and this year it has been rechristened as Bengaluru GAFX Conference.
The main highlight of this event are the workshops & masterclasses conducted by industry leading experts. There were a bunch of VFX studios & academies entertaining visitors with their state of the art gaming and VR/AR experience zones. A few to mention are Red Chillies VFX, 88 Pictures, Dhruva Interactive, I-C-E Studios and so on.
At high time, We Fly High had an opportunity to exhibit its services and products in the conference. Our studio entered in VR/AR category displaying ready to fly drones and VR goggles.
Our nano FPV racing drone carrying very tiny micro camera with built in 5.8 GHz video transmitter used for indoor/outdoor FPV racing. Due to security reasons and last minute entry into the conference, live flight demo of our drones in the hotel premises was not entertained. But we were able to actively engage our visitors with FPV Game Demo using VR Goggles and nano quadcopter.
It was indeed a great pleasure & honour to meet Karnataka's State Minister of IT, BT & Tourism, Mr. Priyank Kharge, at our stall on Day 2 of the conference and discuss about aerial services at WFH.
We Fly High has taken this wonderful platform, thanks to ABAI & team, to submit a proposal on Forest & Wildlife Conservation using unmanned technologies, advanced robotic sensors and thermal vision systems to tackle never ending Wildlife-Human conflict in Karnataka and neighbouring states.
Discussions were made with augmented reality(AR)/virtual reality(VR) experts about our upcoming Augmented FPV Drone Game for Android platform. 3D student artists, Game developers, Virtual Reality academies have shown great interest in the products displayed and ideas shared.
We also launched our upcoming India's first Immersive FPV Arena for Drone racers in Namma Bengaluru. Very soon drone racers in Bengaluru will never have to worry about any climatic conditions or weather reports to flying their favourite FPV quadcopters. Arena will be equipped with LED lit gates and realistic obstacles for more immersive racing experience.
